Not sure which one he had, i just got mine changed to the new one. I also took the nissan/infiniti program. All you walk away with from UTI is a certificate of completion and same with the nissan program. The dealership cared more about the nissan part than the rest. ASE certs are on you to sign up, pay for, and take the tests. When you get done with the Nissan program they help you find a job. Nobody in our class found a position higher than an oil changer. It sucks but your pretty much gonna start out changing oil mounting tires and doing alignment. Performance stuff isnt gonna make you money if your just starting out. I can snap a pic of the expensive piece of paper that I got if you wanna see it. UTI reps are sales people. When I was there, it seemed like they could care less about the students and more about collecting their check. Anyways I would just look really hard into it and WYO Tech. Dont get me wrong, I liked UTI as far as what I learned, but i didnt learn body work, paint, interior, or fabrication. My friend says he gets to learn all that plus what I learned at UTI. Im not trying to bash UTI ,I just think your time and money would be better spent some where else. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
